Next Tutor Training and Orientation July 21 and 24
Anyone who is wanting to become a volunteer tutor must first attend a new tutor orientation and training. The next opportunity is an orientation on July 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the downstairs Modesto Library at 1500 I Street. The training is the following Saturday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the same location. Click here to download a registration form . Wine, Jazz and a Movie Sept. 30, 2010 at the State Theatre in Modesto
This year's Wine, Jazz and a Movie event brought to you by SaveMart Cares and Stanislaus Literacy Center will feature the Academy Award winning movie, Precious. Kyle Barker's All Stars Jazz Band will be performing from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. during a wine and cheese reception provided by EJ Gallo Winery and Hilmar Cheese. Tickets are $30 per person.
